Do you have a water accumulation problem on your property? Especially on your grass? If so, you probably need to build a drain pipe to keep water away from the house as much as possible, and also to avoid excess moisture to prevent certain diseases from spreading on your lawn. Water is good for the grass, but too much is bad too.
In this blog post, I won’t show you how to build the drain pipe because there’s a lot of type of drain and the goal of the post is to show you that it is possible to repair the grass without a scar after a few weeks of maintenance.
Removing the Grass
If you have a big patch to remove, it is possible to rent a diverter in all tool rental stores. If not, use a lawn cutter and try cutting squares. To prevent pieces from breaking, cut small squares.
If possible, arrange the pieces in a way that you can put them back in their original place.
Reinstallation of the Lawn
Once, you’ve done your drain pipe, it’s now time to prepare the soil before putting the grass back. It is important to understand that by digging and modifying the soil condition, it is now less compacted and there is a possibility that the ground level changes once the grass is installed. Therefore, by experience, it is very important to properly compact the soil before you put back the grass over the drain.
Cut your grass and it should look like this.
Final Touch (Lawn Reparation)
Now it’s time to give back some love to the grass. Spread new seeds, add some black soil and water properly to help grow grass. The fertilizer is not to neglect to stimulate the turf. You can also oxygenate the turf using the aerators shoes.
For sure, this place should have more attention for a duration of 5-8 weeks.
And here, neither seen nor known!
Have you ever done it differently?
